The QA (Quality Assurance) Type setting lets your Customer Service and warehouse teams assess the condition of returned items and record a QA status against each one. Setting a QA Type keeps item assessments consistent and visible across your team, so returns are graded to the same standard every time.
Choosing a QA Type
You can choose one of two QA Types, depending on how detailed you want assessments to be:
Pass / Fail — a simple binary check. Each item is marked either Pass (meets your quality standards) or Fail (does not). Best for straightforward checks where an item is either resalable or it isn't.
Grade A / B / C or Fail — a more detailed assessment that grades items by condition:
Grade A — excellent condition, minimal or no defects
Grade B — good condition, minor defects
Grade C — fair condition, noticeable defects
Fail — does not meet quality standards and cannot be resold
Setting your QA Type
From the left-hand menu, click Configuration, then select the merchant account you want to configure.
Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll to the Additional options section and find the QA type dropdown.
Select either Pass / Fail or Grade A / B / C or Fail.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Using QA in your workflow
Once a QA Type is set, your CS and warehouse teams can assess and mark returned items directly in the dashboard. The QA status is then visible in the relevant sections, so everyone can see the condition each item was given.
