Mintsoft integration

Look up Mintsoft orders, create returns in Mintsoft and automate refunds.

Connecting Mintsoft lets At Last work with your warehouse. Once it's connected, At Last can:

  • Fetch orders from Mintsoft, so customers can return orders that aren't in Shopify.

  • Create returns in Mintsoft whenever a return is created in At Last.

  • Automate refunds when your warehouse confirms and refunds a return in Mintsoft.

Each of these can be turned on or off separately.

Step 1: Create a Mintsoft API key

Create an API key in your Mintsoft dashboard. When you set it up:

  • Give it permission to read and write returns and to read orders.

  • Set the expiry to Do not expire. Mintsoft keys expire after 24 hours by default, and the integration stops working when the key expires.

If the key is missing a permission, At Last tells you when you try to connect.

Step 2: Connect Mintsoft

  1. Go to Configuration > Integrations and select Mintsoft.

  2. Select Connect, paste your API key and select Connect.

  3. Choose your settings (explained below), then select Save at the top of the page.

Every setting starts off. Nothing happens in Mintsoft until you turn a setting on and save.

Orders

Turn on Fetch Mintsoft orders if some of your orders are in Mintsoft but not in Shopify. At Last already brings in your Shopify orders automatically, so if all your orders are in Shopify you can leave this off.

When it's on:

  1. A customer selects Lookup via order number on your returns portal.

  2. At Last looks for a matching order in its own records first.

  3. If there isn't one, At Last searches your Mintsoft orders. If it finds the order, it brings it into At Last and the customer can return it.

The same lookup works when your team creates a return on a customer's behalf from the At Last dashboard.

Returns

This is the main reason to use the integration. Turn on Create returns in Mintsoft and, whenever a return is created in At Last, At Last creates a matching return in Mintsoft, attached to the original order. You'll find it in the Returns section of your Mintsoft dashboard.

It doesn't matter whether the customer created the return on your portal or your team created it from the At Last dashboard.

At Last puts the tracking number of the return label in the Mintsoft return's External reference field. Your warehouse team can scan the label to find the return.

Map your return reasons

When you turn on returns, you also need to set up the Reasons table. It tells At Last which Mintsoft reason to use for each At Last reason when it creates a return in Mintsoft.

For example:

At Last reason

Mintsoft reason

Too small

Size issue

Too large

Size issue

Poor quality

Faulty

The first row, Default (all other reasons), is required. At Last uses it for any reason without its own mapping, including reasons you add to At Last later.

For example, you map the default to Other. Later you add a new At Last reason, "Too expensive". Returns with that reason are created in Mintsoft as Other until you give "Too expensive" its own mapping.

Refunds

Automated refunds are available to Shopify merchants who have Create returns in Mintsoft turned on. Turn on Automate Shopify refunds, and At Last processes the refund when your warehouse confirms and refunds the return in Mintsoft.

How it works

  1. The return parcel arrives at your warehouse. Your team scans the tracking number on the return label, or searches by the order number, which is also on the label, to find the return in Mintsoft.

  2. They check the items and give each one a Mintsoft reason.

  3. They tick both Confirm and Refunded on the return.

  4. At Last picks up the return and processes it using the reasons they chose. See the next section for how reasons decide the outcome.

At Last only acts on a return that is both confirmed and refunded in Mintsoft. If your team confirms a return but doesn't tick Refunded, nothing happens automatically. Process it yourself from the return in the At Last dashboard instead: for example, add a note, give a partial refund or refuse the refund.

Choose which Mintsoft reasons get a refund

Under Refund on these Mintsoft reasons, tick each Mintsoft reason that should lead to a refund. Leave unticked any reason that shouldn't.

When a return is confirmed and refunded in Mintsoft:

  • All items have ticked reasons: At Last marks QA as passed and approves the refund.

  • All items have unticked reasons: At Last marks QA as failed and refuses the refund.

  • The items have a mix of ticked and unticked reasons: At Last doesn't process the return automatically, and the return stays as it was in the At Last dashboard. Process it yourself from there.

For example, you tick Too small and leave Damaged unticked. A return where every item is marked Too small is refunded. A return where every item is marked Damaged is refused. A return with one of each is left for you to process.

Reasons added in Mintsoft after you set this up are ticked by default, so they lead to a refund until you untick them.

Refunds in Shopify

An approved refund follows the options on your Refunds configuration page. If you've set it to create refunds in Shopify, or to restock items, the same happens for refunds approved through Mintsoft.

Disconnect Mintsoft

  1. Go to Configuration > Integrations and select Mintsoft.

  2. Select Disconnect, then confirm.

At Last stops fetching orders, creating returns and automating refunds, and deletes your API key. Returns already created in Mintsoft stay there.

If you reconnect later, every setting starts off again, so check them before saving.

Common questions

A return was confirmed and refunded in Mintsoft but nothing happened in At Last.

Check the reasons on the return's items. If they're a mix of ticked and unticked reasons, At Last leaves the return for you to process. Also check that Automate Shopify refunds is turned on.

My warehouse removed an item from the Mintsoft return before confirming it.

At Last won't process the return automatically, so it never refunds an item your warehouse didn't receive. Process it from the At Last dashboard.

Do I need Fetch orders to create returns in Mintsoft?

No. Each setting works on its own.
